As we start our Monday Morning Mop Up, the dogs are sitting glumly next to my our chair looking out the window at the rain that has made their normal morning outing a brief bathroom break.   Such a scene reminds us of the Pacific Northwest and that’s where we will start our reports.

The Whidbey Island Kennel Club was set up for two days in beautiful Monroe WA where Rita Bell had the day one final on Saturday.  She had her pick of the Golden Retriever, GCH CH Rush Hills River Road Payoff, the Greyhound, GCH CH Helio's Foxglove at Heart, the Alaskan Malamute, CH Mytuk's Technical Knockout, the American Staffordshire Terrier, GCH CH Alpine's Highwayman, the Brussels Griffon, CH Jimijo's Bare with Me, the Standard Poodle, GCH Brighton Lakeridge Encore, and the Old English Sheepdog, GCH CH Snowdowne When in Rome.

She chose the Poodle, Ally as her Best.  That’s the third BIS for Ally and handler Taffee McFadden, who is temporarily filling in for regular handler Tim Brazier.  Number Four Dog All Breeds Ally has a total of 41 BIS this year.

CH Ming Dynasty's Samurai

On Sunday, Taffee and Ally, the above named Golden, Malamute, & AmStaff, were all back to see judge Monica Canestrini.  They were joined by the Rhodesian Ridgeback, GCH CH Redskye's Catch A Fire, the Shih Tzu, CH Ming Dynasty's Samurai, the Keeshond, GCH CH Shamrock's Captain Stormalong, and the Smooth Collie, Sunnland's Top Gun.

The two year old Shih Tzu dog picked up his very first Toy Group First earlier this month and now he has his very first all breed Best In Show.  Congratulations to breeders/owners Linda Davi & Gloria & Jim Blackburn.
