CATCHING UP ON ALABAMA

GCH CH Babheim’s Captain Crunch

We are playing catch up on our reports with this from last week’s Columbiana AL cluster.  It all started a week ago Thursday with the Tuscaloosa Kennel Club’s first of two shows.  Charles Trotter chose his Best In Show form the Brittany, GCH CH Dual Lanes Cam JH, the American Foxhound, Kelly Mt Bearly Legal, the Boxer, GCH CH Ho-Pa’s Grand Slam, the Smooth Fox, GCH CH Broxden Waybroke Symphony Burlesque, the Pug, GCH CH Caper’s Sirius Endeavor, the Keeshond, CH Trumpet’s It’s Good to be King, and the German Shepherd Dog, GCH CH Babheim’s Captain Crunch.

Picking up the first big rosette of the set was the GSD, Capi.  Last year’s Number One Herding Dog has been taking it easy this year, but has two BIS & 17 Herding Groups including a Group One at this year’s Westminster Kennel Club show.

GCH CH Ho-Pa’s Grand Slam

Friday, Capi and the same Brittany, Boxer & Pug were joined by the Longhaired Dachshund, CH Seidach’s Diggin’ Up Bones, the Australian Terrier, GCH CH Kambara’s Zebulon, and  the Bulldog, GCH CH Dowat’s Decisive Double Down, in Paula Hartinger’s final for the Birmingham Kennel Club.  Her Best was the Boxer, Mason.  It's the first BIS this year for Mason.  Congratulations to breeders Carol Hobbs & Marla Parsons, owners Steve & Ann Anderson, and handler Rick Justice.

GCH CH Karasar’s Remembrence

Rufus & Capi would skip Saturday’s TKC show leaving Pat Trotter with the aforementioned Brittany, Australian Terrier, & Bulldog, the Whippet, GCH CH Karasar’s Remembrence, the Rottweiler, GCH CH Hemlock’s Jack of Hearts RA, the Pekingese, GCH CH Benaire’s N’Elphasun’s Razzmatazz, and the Smooth Fox Terrier, GCH CH Traveler’s Pierce Arrow.  It was the Whippet, Britannee, handled by very excited breeder/owner/handler Kerrie Kuper taking home her second big rosette of the year, and giving us what could be our favorite photo of the year.
