GUADALUPE VALLEY DOG FANCIERS



CH Thunderwood’s First Robin of Spring

Our Texas venue this week was in San Marcos TX, about 50 miles northeast of San Antonio.  The Guadalupe Valley Dog Fanciers Saturday show ended with Alice Inman mulling over the English Cocker Spaniel, GCH CH Newsea Echoes of  Love, the Wirehaired Dachshund, GCH CH Raydachs Ruby Tuesday SW, the Giant Schnauzer, GH H Skansen’s Harvard, the Norwich Terrier, CH Thunderwood’s First Robin of Spring, the Maltese, CH Rhapsody Someone Like You, the Lhasa Apso, GCH CH Sundancer Hylan Shotru Secret Dawn,  and the Australian Shepherd, CH Broadway’s Cruisin’ Like Royalty of Canyon Lake RN.

BIS was the Aussie, Cruis, and RBIS was the Norwich, Robbie.  It’s the first BIS for Cruis.  Congratulations to breed/owner/handler Maggie Pryor, co-breeders JoAnne Harvell & McKenna Harvell, owner Susan George.  Hopefully, we will have a photo of Cruis for you soon.

On Sunday Pat Hastings would get a mostly new seven, the Black Cocker Spaniel, CH Tamra’s N Positively’s Over The top, the Basset Hound, CH Fort Merrill Brunswick, the Boxer, GCH CH Winfall I Dream of Style, the Norwich Terrier, GCH CH Skyscots Texas Hold’Em, the above named Maltese, the Bulldog, CH Ancrum’s Magic Man, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, GCH CH Coventry Just A Little Crush.

CH Rhapsody Someone Like You

The little guys, the Norwich, Decker, and the Maltese, Adele, took home the top two prizes.  Decker, fresh from his Westminster Best of Breed win, picked up his first BIS of the year in three final appearances.  Congratulations to breeder Leslie Becker, owner Sharon Esposito MD, and handler Brenda Lee Combs.
