The biggest prize of the week is today’s Beaver County Kennel Club show in Canfield OH.  With almost 2000 dogs entered today’s BIS winner will have their current standing in the rankings vastly improved.

The seven dogs that hoped to persuade judge Charlotte Patterson to give him/her those points were the English Setter, GCH CH Stargaz'R 'N Wingfield Time Will Tell, the American Foxhound, GCH CH Kiarry’s Pandora’s Box, the Portuguese water Dog, GCH CH Claircreek’s Impression de Matisse, the Airedale Terrier, GCH CH Joval Angel’s Whisper, the Pug, GCH CH Hill Country Tag I’m It, the Chinese Shar-Pei, GCH CH Shine’s Deck the Halls, and the German Shepherd Dog, GCH CH Wolf Creek Galaxy of Merivern.

The dog getting the points was the Portie, Matisse.  The dog getting second place and a fraction of the points was the Pug, JJ.  Today’s win, Matisse’s 49th of the year, puts him within 5,000 points of the Number One Dog, the Wire Fox, GCH CH AfterAll Painting the Sky…but then we haven’t heard from the west coast yet.  Stay with us.  Dog Show Poop is the only online service that will tell you what every BIS means in the rankings.

  1. "Second place and a fraction of the points was the Pug, JJ" -- Does Reserve BIS Get awarded Points now or was that just in reference to the Toy Group fraction of the points?

    1. That was me bemoaning the fact that the Reserve winner gets no extra points

  2. I see number two surpassing number one in the near future... It's about time we had an exciting race.
