Before we turn our attention to today’s shows, including the Devon Dog Show Association’s Terrier  heavy event, let’s tell you about life Friday outside the Terrier universe.

GCH CH Bugaboo’s Picture Perfect

We don’t get too many dog shows in the Land of Enchantment, but this week the Chaparral Kennel Club and the Mesilla Valley Kennel Club have teamed up to host the four show Chile Bowl cluster in Alamogordo NM.  The CKC kicked things off, spicing up the final with judge Lewis Bayne considering the Clumber Spaniel, GCH CH Clussexx Collaboration with Traddles, the Whippet, GCH CH Cottonwood Versace at Coreymore, the Great Dane, GCH CH Naples Tlbrk Dana Sanroque Cause and Effect, the Miniature Bull Terrier, GCH CH Dytona VIP, the Affenpinscher, GCH CH Tamarin Tarheel, the French Bulldog, Bayou Ridge Hillsman Cocoa Bean At Homewood, and the Old English Sheepdog, GCH CH Bugaboo’s Picture Perfect.

Judge Bayne’s Best was the young OES, Swagger, and his Reserve was the even younger, 11 month old Frenchie.  The country’s Number One Herding Dog has started rolling up the BIS, collecting five of his 15 BIS this year in three weekends.
