ENGLISH COCKER BIS IN FLORIDA

It’s day seven of the Florida Marathon and judge Beth Speich was in the final ring for the Inverness Florida Kennel Club.  The seven dogs hoping to take home the BIS were the English Cocker Spaniel, GCH CH Fieldstone Carousel Hell's Kitchen, the Rhodesian Ridgeback, GCH CH Raquel Welch Of Malabo Apd, the Portuguese Water Dog, GCH CH Claircreek’s Impression de Matisse, the Kerry Blue Terrier, GCH CH Ciarrai's Beltane Embers, the Miniature Pinscher, GCH CH Marlex Classic Red Glare, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Dawin Hearts on Fire, and the German Shepherd Dog, GCH CH Wolf Creek Galaxy Of Merivern.

The one dog that did take home the big rosette was the English Cocker, Gordon.  Getting his first RBIS of the year was the nation’s Number One Dog All Breeds, the PWD, Matisse.  Gordon had a late start in 2013, but still managed 17 Sporting Group Ones.  Congratulations to breeders MaryAnn Alston, Kathy Petruzzi & Jennifer Pahl, owners Dr Karen Florentine & Christina Kirby, and handlers Marcelo Veras & Larry Cornelius.
