The Pasco Florida Kennel Club capped the first leg of the Florida Marathon with its show Monday in Brooksville FL.  Hoping to collect the top prize and all those points were the English Setter, CH Legends What Women Want, the Otter Hound, GCH CH Aberdeen Under the Influence, the Akita, GCH Stardust's See You At The Show RN, the Welsh Terrier, GCH CH Shaireab Bayleigh Maid of Honor, the Miniature Pinscher, GCH CH Marlex Classic Red Glare, the Chinese Shar-Pei, GCH CH Shine’s Deck the Halls, and the Australian Shepherd, GCH CH Copperridge What’s Your Dream.

CH Legends What Women Want

Dr Steven Herman’s BIS was the Welsh Terrier, Jennie.  His RBIS was the English Setter, Nick.  Jennie finished 2013 as the Number Three Terrier and the Number 15 Dog All Breeds with 15 BIS and 70 Terrier Groups.  Congratulations to breeders/owners Keith Bailey & Sharon Abmeyer, owners Tony Lee, Xiangyu Xie, & Keith Bailey, and handler Luis Abreu.

Traditionally, the Florida Marathon has given one dog a January Jump on the field.  However this year no dog has emerged thus far as a clear national leader with a different dog going BIS each of the first five shows.  The cluster will recess today and continue on Wednesday with five more shows.   However, many of the top competitors will head for Portland OR and the point rich Rose City Classic.
