With over 10,000 dogs entered over four days this week’s Rose City Classic in Portland OR is one of the year’s most important stops.  Yesterday’s opener, the Tualatin Kennel Club show, drew 2237 dogs in the regular classes.  The seven lucky dogs that made it all the way to judge Robert Stein’s final were the Field Spaniel, GCH CH Promenade’s Pay It Forward, the Whippet, GCH CH Princeton’s Falling In Love At Starline, the Alaskan Malamute, GCH CH Mytuk’s Technical Knock Out, the Norfolk Terrier, GCH CH Yarrow Venerie Ticket To Ride, the Pekingese, CH Oak Hill’s Caught Red Handed, the Bichon Frise, Kman’s Miss Fancypants, and the Old English Sheepdog, GCH CH Bugaboo’s Picture Perfect.

Getting the big pay day was the OES, Swagger.  Getting the Reserve award was the Norfolk, Rider.  The win, Swagger’s second of the year, puts him back in the Number One Dog All Breeds’ spot.  We suspect he will stay there come the end of the weekend.
