FIRST TIMERS IN KANSAS

GCH CH TigerLily Tamaran Smoke On The Water

When last we visited Garden City KS we reported that the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Del Zarzoso Salvame From Afterglow, was judge Dawn Hansen’s BIS at Friday’s Garden City Kennel Club show.

Judge Linda Scanlon had the Saturday final and her pick of the English Setter, GCH CH Stardom Country Squire Livin’ In The Limelight, the Basset Hound, CH First Class Ring In The New, the Rottweiler, CH Brush Creek’s Chances Are I’Deal CGC, the Skye Terrier, CH Royalist Son Knight I Kulbreeze, the Havanese, GCH CH TigerLily Tamaran Smoke On The Water, the aforementioned Poodle, Dino, and the Shetland Sheepdog, GCH CH PaRay’s Cimmaron Stellar.

Going to the head of the class was the Havanese, Ernie, and the Poodle, Dino. It was the first BIS and first Toy Group for Ernie. Congratulations to breeder/owner Sheryl A Roach, co-breeders Carol T Hutton & Carolyn Hutton.

The Standard Poodle & the Sky were the only of Saturday’s finalists to make it to judge Patricia Hess’ BIS ring on Sunday. Rounding out the seven were the Golden Retriever, GCH CH Glaciers Ringing In The New Year, the Scottish Deerhound, GCH CH Jaraluv Rain Dance CGC, the Akita, CH Mt Joys The Promise Land at Dune, the Silky Terrier, GCH CH Anjo Blu’s Once In A Blue Moon, and the Pembroke Welsh Terrier, GCH CH Coventry Day Tripper.

The two that impressed judge Hess were the Silky and the Skye. It was the first for the two year old Silky bitch. Congratulations to breeders Joseph J Shafer & Arvilla Hieb, owner Pamela M Gates, and handler Alyssa Mosley.
