BEST WEEKEND PERFORMANCE

GCH CH Flessner's International S'Cess

While several of our top dogs had multiple BIS this past week, the clear stand out was the Bloodhound, GCH CH Flessner's International S'Cess. Nathan and handler Heather Buehner-Helmer were in Fletcher NC for four days and returned home with three BIS and one RBIS. We already told you about Friday’s Hendersonville Kennel Club BIS.   Here’s the rest of the story.

GCH CH Caper’s Sirius Endeavor

On Saturday judge Sharon Redmer would pick Nathan out of a seven that included the Golden Retriever, CH Saffire’s No Rest For The Wicked, the Newfoundland, GCH CH Avalon Bey’s Are The Stars Out Tonight, the Cairn Terrier, GCH CH Connacht A Ha’Penny Will Do, the RBIS, the :Pug, GCH CH Caper’s Sirius Endeavor, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Luminary Black Velvet Bejeweled With Pearls, and the German Shepherd Dog, GCH CH Woodsides Megabucks.

GCH CH Woodsides Megabucks

At Sunday’s Spartanburg Kennel Club final Nathan would impress judge Carl Liepmann more than did the Reserve winner, the GSD, Megabucks, who impressed judge Liepmann more than did the Black Cocker Spaniel, GCH CH Brookwood Diamond In The Ruff, the Siberian Husky, GCH CH Highland's Rumour Has It, the Kerry Blue Terrier, CH Teagan’s Purple Rain, the Pomeranian, GCH CH Starfire’s Spank Me Hard Call Me Crazy, or the Chinese Shar-Pei, GCH CH Jade East Mission Into Space.

The wins would bring Nathan’s 2014 record to nine BIS and 30 Hound Groups and make him the country’s Number One Hound once more.

However, Nathan would play bridesmaid to Megabucks’ BIS at Monday’s Spartanburg Kennel Club encore. Also vying for judge Betty Leininger’s attention were the Irish Setter, GCH CH Seafarers Red Hot and Green, and the previously seen Siberian, Kerry, Pug, & Standard Poodle. It was the ninth BIS in 21 final appearances this year.
