OES HAT TRICK IN NEW MEXICO

GCH CH Bugaboo’s Picture Perfect

After two days stuck in airports without wifi we are back home at the keyboard to give you all the weekend’s results and analysis. We will start out in the Land of Enchantment where a rare New Mexico cluster drew the largest number of dogs of the week. When last we checked in on the High Desert Cluster, the Bulldog, GCH CH Dowats The Gladiator, collected his very first BIS at Saturday’s Rio Grande Kennel Club opener.

GCH CH Rainbow Splash’s Ruggedly Handsome

The remaining three big rosettes would be added to the already voluminous collection of our Number Two Dogs All Breeds, the Old English Sheepdog, GCH CH Bugaboo’s Picture Perfect. At Sunday’s RGKC encore, judge Yvonne Savard preferred Swagger to the Brittany, GCH CH Rainbow Splash’s Ruggedly Handsome, whom she preferred to the Akita, GCH CH Stardust's See You At The Show RN, the Glen of Imaal Terrier, GCH CH Finnabair Ardmore Ned, the Pomeranian, GCH CH Hitimes What The Inferno, and the Chow Chow, GCH CH Eastern Magic Fly Me Safe.

GCH CH Evergreens Rub My Belly at Rising Star

The Coronado Kennel Club of New Mexico two shows were the only ones in the US on Monday and Tuesday. Judge Beverly Capstick had Monday’s final, naming Swagger her BIS and the Dogue de Bordeaux, GCH CH Evergreens Rub My Belly at Rising Star, her RBIS. Rounding out the final were five new faces, the English Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Hill-N-Don & Canyonwood Seemore of Me, the Borzoi, GCH CH Promises Crown Jewel Nicholas, the Cairn Terrier, GCH CH Hjohoo’s Save Hjour Love For Me, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, GCH CH Miletree Carnival, and the Chow Chow, GCH CH Eastern Magic Fly Me Safe.

GCH CH Victory Spencer

Judge Jeannette McGinnis had the closer, putting Swagger at the front of the lines, followed by her RBIS, the Japanese Chin, GCH CH Victory Spencer, the previously seen Brittany, the Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen, GCH CH Always Blue Caboose, the aforementioned Dogue de Bordeaux, the Smooth Fox Terrier, GCH CH J’Cobe Broxden Accidentally On Porpoise, and the Lhasa Apso, CH Sundancer Foxy Lady.

Swagger and breeder/owner/handler Colton Johnson started their week in Perry GA where they took an RBIS on Thursday before heading to Albuquerque, collecting over 3500 points along the way. Swagger’s 2014 resume includes 27 BIS and 51 Herding Groups.
