We have been sidelined for the last ten days with an as yet unidentified winter bug, but we are now back and find the 2015 show season in full bloom.  Palm Springs is in the record books, the Florida Marathon has passed the mid-way point, and Portland’s Rose City Classic is underway.  Down in Florida, the 2014 AKC/Eukanuba National Champion, the Skye Terrier, GCH CH Cragsmoor Good Time Charlie, is basking in the glow, and making most of the giant point haul available in Brookville FL, taking five of the seven BIS offered up so far.  The latest win came at Wednesday’s  Manatee Kennel Club show.

Challenging Charlie for the win were the English Setter, GCH CH Stargaze'R 'N Wingfield Wait Wait Don't Tell, the Whippet, GCH CH Sporting Fields Shameless, judge Dr Michael Woods’ RBIS, the Boxer, GCH CH Mephisto’s Speak Of The Devil, the Italian Greyhound, GCH CH Marchwind Barbara Ann, the French Bulldog, CH JCRV-Klasse Warrior Raising The Banner, and a German Shepherd Dog from the classes, Signature’s Abby Scuito.

Charlie, the Whippet, Brazen, & the Boxer, Devlin, would all return to the final ring at today’s Inverness Florida Kennel Club show.  Rounding out judge Sonny Ambrosio’s seven were the Black Cocker Spaniel, GCH CH Ashdown’s Time to Thrill, the Prince Charles English Toy Spaniel, GCH CH Maibee Orlando, the Chinese Shar-Pei, GCH CH Shine’s Deck the Halls, and the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, GCH CH Riverside Telltail Coco Posh.

Finishing one/two were Brazen, the Whippet, and Charlie, the Skye.  It was the first BIS of the year for Brazen, who ended 2014 as the Number Three Hound with 14 BIS and 73 Hound groups.  Congratulations to breeder/owner/handler Amanda Giles, breeder/owner Debbie Butts, and owners Barbara Call & Jane Cooney-Waterhouse.
